                                            Surprise Victorian School Day!

Today Year 5 spent the whole day taking part in activities similar to those that would have been experienced by children in the Victorian era! It was a real eye-opener and quite terrifying at times as well as being repetitive! Girls were often separated from the boys, the Lords prayer was said a lot along with the singing of The National Anthem, listening to stories with morals, writing using Victorian copybooks, basic arithmetic using calculations and money (farthings, pennies, shillings, pounds and guineas) chalk and slate, exercise drills, poetry learning by William Wordsworth and flower drawing from observation! On top of that a very strict approach was taken... Well done Willowers!
