Our morning included: Separating the boys from the girls, Cleanliness Check - as 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness', Morning Prayers followed by Reciting the National Anthem, Writing using 'Copperplate', Reciting the Kings and Queens prior to Queen Victoria, Arithmetic Lesson using pounds, shillings and pence, Poetry Learning (William Wordsworth - Daffodils) followed by Observational Drawing of a daffodil. We rounded off our Victorian day with a traditional Victorian Playtime/Drills and Reading of a story with a moral.
